* Day 1:
● Egyptian museum
You will be taken to the Egyptian Museum, situated in Tahrir Square in Cairo. The Museum of Egyptian Antiquities, known ordinarily as the Egyptian Museum, is home to the most extensive collection of ancient Egyptian antiquities in the world. This is the best gateway to ancient Egyptian history in Cairo, with 27 royal mummies from the pharaonic period.
● Alabaster Mosque (Mohammad Ali Mosque)
You will easily locate the Mohamed Ali Mosque, owing to its eminent features: its dome rises up to 52 meters high and two east side minarets. The mosque is situated on the apex of the citadel, and along with the citadel, is one of the distinctive features and tourist attractions of Cairo.
● Salah El-Din Citadel
When in Cairo, it is essentially impossible to miss the Salah El-Din Citadel, one of the world’s greatest structures to medieval war. The Citadel is a fortification, a defensive wall, and was once popular for its awe-inspiring views of the city. When was it built, for what purpose, which pharaoh does it represent, and who broke the nose? Any answer is a matter of speculation. Egyptologists have not found any decisive evidence. No matter. The Great Sphinx is a wonder to behold.
