Then visit the Egyptian Museum, the world's largest museum of ancient Egyptian art. Accompanied by your private guide, see the following highlights on your tour:
● The Egyptian Museum
The Egyptian Museum in Cairo houses one of the most famous collections of antiquities in the world. In the "Egyptian Museum" in Cairo, the most important finds from the time of the Pharaohs are on display. The museum shows 160,000 objects from 5,000 years of history in over 100 rooms. The exhibits from the Old Kingdom that are worth seeing include the seated statue of King Chasechem, the statue of Pharaoh Djoser, the statuette of Cheops, and the seated statue of Chephren. The other most valuable objects from the Old Kingdom that are kept in the museum are the seated statue of King Chasechem, the seated statue of Pharaoh Djoser, the tomb of Queen Hetepheres, the seated statue of Chephren, and many more.
● The pyramids of Giza
Travel to ancient Egypt and discover the Giza Pyramids, which are just 15 kilometers from downtown Cairo, making them easy to get to. Even in ancient times, the Giza pyramids were a mysterious wonder of the world. For millennia, no one knew what they were used for. Scientists are still puzzling today how the Egyptians piled the stones into pyramids. Created at the height of the Old Kingdom (approx. 2670 to 2150 BC), the pyramids bear witness to the phase of a remarkably centralized state in which the entire society revolved around the Pharaoh and was held together by his religious-political gravitational force. Each of the three pyramids takes its name from a different pharaoh, a king. The pharaohs are buried in them. They were built about four and a half thousand years ago. Because they were built very sturdy, made of stones, they have been well preserved. The Great Pyramid has a side length of 230 meters and a height of today 139 meters. The Khafreypramid is slightly shorter at 215 meters and measured at a current height of 136 meters. The smallest, the Mykerino pyramid, has a side length of 103 meters and a height of 65 meters. To this day, Egyptologists are still not sure how the stone blocks, which weighed tons, were transported to the construction site.
