First, you visit the Valley of the Kings, the world-famous necropolis is considered to be the highlight of each Egypt journey for many visitors. The size of the temple complex, the well-preserved buildings and statues make the Valley of the Kings the most impressive historical sight all over Egypt. In the Valley of the Kings, you go to two or three of the graves open to the public. You will receive a comprehensive briefing on the funeral rites of the ancient Egyptians and the meaning of the wall reliefs.

You will also visit the temple city of Karnak. Here the powerful divine triad Amun, Mut, and Khons were worshiped. This complex was built for over 2000 years as each pharaoh added new structures to the temple. No visitor can escape the grandeur and beauty of this complex, because Karnak is probably the largest temple complex in Egypt. Egyptian mythology says that this is the connection between heaven and earth, gods, and humans. The roof of the temple is supported by 130 columns, all of which are over 20 meters high.

We continue to the imposing temple of Queen Hatshepsut, who was the first woman to rule Egypt. About 3500 years ago Hatshepsut rose to rulership and built the monumental "Temple of Millions of Years" in Deir el Bahari. When scholars were finally able to decipher Egyptian hieroglyphs in the early 19th century, they were qualified to read the inscriptions on their temples and bring their history to light. In perfect harmony with nature, the temple nestles against the cliffs that rise up to 280 m. The temple rises in 3 terraces with porticoes and pillars, which are connected by ramps. Today her legacy lives on throughout Egypt through the structures she left behind. The building was called Djeser Djeseru in ancient Egypt - "the Holiest of Holies".

In between, a shortstop is made at the Colossi of Memnon, where the mortuary temple of Amenhotep III was once rose. - There is now a complete ban on photos for the entire Valley of the Kings. Cameras have to be handed in when entering and are only given again when leaving.

- With the purchase of a video ticket for EGP 300, you can take photos/videography in one grave per ticket. An exception is the grave of Seti I. Tickets are only available at the ticket booth near the Colossi of Memnon, not on site. All graves now have an explanation at the grave entrance on a modern and informative board about the history, architecture, and decoration.
