On the west bank in the Valley of the Kings, you will experience the effort with which the pharaohs were buried thousands of years ago and how Pharaoh Hatshepsut had her temple laid out in an axis with the Karnak temple. And on the eastern bank of the Nile, you will visit the largest temple complex in Egypt in Karnak: overwhelming evidence of the pharaonic power and the ancient Egyptian religion that has survived through the ages. In the early morning, we go to one of the cultural highlights of this tour: the Valley of the Kings. This mythical historic landmark is the final resting place of the pharaohs, which with the magnificent wall decorations are among the masterpieces of ancient Egyptian art. The mythical cemetery is mysteriously and unreally embedded in the rugged mountains of Thebes. You descend into rock tombs and discover the pharaohs' ideas of the afterlife on the colorful walls of their resting places. You have the chance to visit two or three of the eleven currently open graves.

Then it goes on to Deir El-Bahari on the West Bank to visit the terraced temple of Queen Hatshepsut. This mortuary temple on the edge of the Valley of the Kings, impressively nestled against a rock wall, was built by Queen Hatshepsut. The queen of the 18th dynasty ruled from 1479 until her death in 1458 BC and brought about a great economic boom in the 21 years of a reign so that her reign is one of the heydays of Egyptian history.

The Karnak Temple is the largest temple complex in the world. The necropolis is on the UNESCO World Heritage List. The huge Karnak Temple was redesigned and expanded over 1500 years by the changing rulers of Egypt. The temple complex is a great complex of many different temples and cult complexes.

Marvel at the towering monoliths of the great Colossi of Memnon. The statues, which are over 20 meters high, represent Pharaoh Amenophis III. The Colossi of Memnon in West Thebes near the Valley of the Kings are among the most important archaeological sites of ancient Egypt.

- Not all graves are open to the public. Some of the graves are permanently closed, while others may be closed for restoration purposes. In the Valley of the Kings, you can visit 2 to 3 graves

- If you want to see the resting place of Tut Ench Amuns, you have to pay an additional entrance ticket.

- There is now a complete ban on photos for the entire Valley of the Kings. Cameras have to be handed in when entering and are only given again when leaving.

- With the purchase of a video ticket for EGP 300, you can take photos/videography in one grave per ticket. An exception is the grave of Seti I. Tickets are only available at the ticket booth near the Colossi of Memnon, not on site. All graves now have an explanation at the grave entrance on a modern and informative board about the history, architecture, and decoration.

- Basic plans and important detailed recordings are presented. These tables were created with the support of the Theban Mapping Project by the Egyptian Antiquities Authority.
